DON'T BE SHY ABOUT DRIVING OVER INTO MEXICO! Ojinaga is perfectly safe for tourists - the police are especially protective of tourists, and the people are super friendly. Shopping for gifts is great fun. Americans save money on doctors, pharmacies, and especially dentists! The bakery, Panaderia la Francesa downtown is famous for the fresh bread and pastries baked in an adobe, wood-fired oven. The murals in the government building on the town square are gorgeous. The most spectacular natural wonder in the entire region is Peguis Canyon, only 25 miles from town. Restaurants are fabulous. The list goes on!

Ojinaga is the gateway to fabulous Copper Canyon, and to Chihuahua City. Copper Canyon is more than spectacular. You can swallow up about a dozen Grand Canyons in the Copper Canyon system. The train ride from Chihuahua City of Los Mochis, Sinaloa on Mexico's West Coast goes through Urique Canyon, the largest them all, and the views are simply breath  taking!
